The house was built in three periods and its arrangement is ideally suited to guests who wish to have their own privacy. Children of all ages are always welcome. Dogs form part of the family,. Edington House - Fine Dining

The house has two dining rooms, each of a fine style and distinction. The larger can accommodate up to sixteen people and would be suitable for guests wishing to give a private dinner party (for which Inge would be able to cook). The smaller dining room can seat eight and is the one nomally used for staying guests. Edington House is not licensed to supply wine but you are very welcome to bring your own for us to serve. Edington House is situated in the historic Somerset Levels. It lies on the north side of the Polden Hills along which runs an old Roman road and nearby are the renowned Glastonbury Tor and Abbey and the site of the Battle of Sedgemoor. Millfield School, Wells and Bath are all within easy reach, along with Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Stonehenge, Dunster Castle, Stourhead and Hestercombe Gardens. Use the interactive Google Map. The master bedroom has a four poster bed and fine Empire period furniture, with views over the lawn and the Levels. There are three other bedrooms, also beautifully furnished. Two of the bedrooms (one of which has two single beds) and an intervening bathroom form an individual suite which would be suitable for a family. Tea and coffee making facilities. The gardens are filled with trees, shrubs and flowers and a three acre orchard is home to the family ponies. A Georgian summer house and an arched Georgian alcove next to an ornamental pond provide relaxed seating whilst the more active may use the tennis court and secluded swimming pool. Beyond the formal gardens is a walled kitchen garden from where Inge gets many fresh ingredients for her evening meals. Guests should note that the use of the.
