Map THIS!: Go ahead, live a little
http://archelenon.blogspot.com/2010/02/go-ahead-live-little.html
Geographic musings from Matt Cook. Monday, February 1, 2010. Go ahead, live a little. I'm starting to think of my blog as a side project that I don't have time for. Thanks to the advent of Twitter, my thoughts can be put out faster, in shorter snippets, to a larger audience. Three or four years ago my thoughts would have been put out into a LiveJournal blog but that was kind of boring. Boring. I was not a great blogger in high school.but what has changed, eh? I didn't make any resolutions for 2010, so I'...

Geographic musings from Matt Cook. Thursday, February 26, 2009. More Scholars Project Thoughts. I had a scary realization today. I have approximately five more meetings (going by the current schedule) with Dr. Rogers until I defend my University Scholars project. This means that insanity might be setting in a little more often in the next month and a half. I work well under deadlines; everybody knows that. but this is one heck of a deadline. Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Arm hair. Their tourniquet rea...

Map THIS!: Life as a Balancing Act
http://archelenon.blogspot.com/2009/10/life-as-balancing-act.html
Geographic musings from Matt Cook. Friday, October 30, 2009. Life as a Balancing Act. First, a bit of housekeeping: Since I blog infrequently, and occasionally hear from people in the real world that they check the site regularly for updates, I thought I would point out that this is not a necessity! For one, since I. DO post so infrequently and know that it is a shame, I try to diligently post a link to the blog with a notice that something new has arrived on my Twitter account. Now on with the post.

http://archelenon.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Geographic musings from Matt Cook. Saturday, July 26, 2008. And now with nearly one whole day behind me since flying back yesterday, I feel like I'm recovering nicely from any jetlag. Thursday, July 24, 2008. Berlin Days 12 and 13 - Last Days. Obama started speaking about 15 minutes late and spoke for around 30 minutes. Read about it here at CNN.com. After the speech I worked my way through the thousands of people to a spot where a lot of people were cutting through the Tiergarten to Potsdammer Platz, wh...

http://archelenon.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Geographic musings from Matt Cook. Saturday, January 17, 2009. Let's get the creative juices flowing again. It's been about a month since I've really worked on my University Scholars project. I've done some data-gathering and organizing over the break, but I really wanted to get more written.and it didn't happen. Now it's time to start cranking out a page or two every day (except Sundays) from here until mid-March or early April. Throughout its history, Berlin’s most well known boulevard". Matthew Cook i...

Map THIS!: Business as Usual
http://archelenon.blogspot.com/2010/02/business-as-usual.html
Geographic musings from Matt Cook. Tuesday, February 9, 2010. I had a bit more to say than could be said in a tweet or status update, so here you go! However, a more typical scene for Martin's economy taking place at our last stop, Movie Gallery, was a going-out-of-business sale. I know that the chain is probably downsizing because they just filed for bankruptcy (again). Or year, for all we know.) A big fat zero. I'm not really complaining, because I like Martin, unlike a lot of people my age. Plus, ...

Moments in a Musical Mind: January 2010
http://choraldirector.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Moments in a Musical Mind. A blog for recording aesthetic moments emoting from music and the natural world. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Well, hello again! It's been a while, eh? What's in my CD player, you might ask? 1) Bach. Yes, I cannot tear myself away from Bach, but these days I'm listening to his four short Masses (Mass in F, Mass in A, Mass in g minor, and Mass in G). Mass in F is my favorite.particularly the 2nd and 3rd movements. 2) St John Passion (Bach). 3) St Matthew Passion (Bach).
