The End of the World: Chapters
http://wwendoftheworld.blogspot.com/p/chapters.html
There is something to be said for reading a story from the beginning. It is after all at the beginning that most stories start. Unless, of course, they don't. This one does, in any case, begin at its beginning. Chapter 1. Gull's Nest. Darcy and Daniel arrive in Barnacle Bay. Chapter 2. Too Much. Enough is enough, Darcy has had it and can't take anymore. Chapter 3. A Night Adrift. In a fit of rebellion Darcy takes off into the night alone. Chapter 4. A Chance. An awkward morning complete with soggy cereal.

One person's dream can be another person's nightmare and that is where Darcy and her father, Daniel, find themselves after a sudden and unexpected move to the outskirts of a small town called Barnacle Bay. The End of the World: The End of the World Ch.3 A Night Adrift
http://wwendoftheworld.blogspot.com/2011/06/end-of-world-ch3-night-adrift.html
Sunday, June 26, 2011. The End of the World Ch.3 A Night Adrift. Darcy rose stiffly to her feet; the seemingly dry earth beneath the tree had seeped it’s hidden dampness into her body as she sat there, leaving her shivering. She rubbed her face; her head throbbed with a dull ache from her crying. Her gaze followed the road as it curved steeply around the coastline and before she could think better of it she had started down the hillside. She peered uneasily at the cottage; at first glance there didn̵...

The End of the World: The End of the World Ch.2 Too Much
http://wwendoftheworld.blogspot.com/2011/01/end-of-world-ch2-too-much.html
Monday, January 31, 2011. The End of the World Ch.2 Too Much. Darcy closed the door in a movement torn between wanting to slam it and wishing it wouldn’t be heard. She reached the middle of the room before her father’s quiet steps behind her made her aware of him. Unwillingly she turned to look at him; his face was set. Her father held a door opened for her and she walked past him without looking up, giving the door a kick even as he let it go. It shut behind her with a bang. She dropped the boxes on the...

Sunday, July 8, 2012. The End of the World Ch. 4 A Chance. Darcy became slowly conscious of the room around her. Sitting up gingerly she rubbed her eyes, trying to open them, but her eyelids felt leaden, sleep clinging to them in desperation. When she tried to look around she felt as if sand was blowing into her eyes. She rubbed again waiting for the feeling to pass, but it wouldn’t. The room glowed with candlelight, and warmth emanated from the fireplace, where flames flickered brightly against the dark...

The End of the World: The End of the World Ch.1 Gull's Nest
http://wwendoftheworld.blogspot.com/2011/01/end-of-world-ch1-gulls-nest.html
Monday, January 10, 2011. The End of the World Ch.1 Gull's Nest. The sign still dangled on its well worn post, proclaiming the cottage to be for sale, as Darcy guessed it had for a long time. She shuddered and drew up her shoulders; the air was strange here, smelling of the sea, salty and cold and nothing like the air in Bridgeport. 8220;Um, the realtor said she’d leave the key on top of the door…” her father ventured eventually, “guess burglars wouldn’t be a problem out her...As if the rundown, overgrow...
