Saturday, 31 January 2015. Off to Vapa in the morning. An early start tomorrow to get across to the Vapnartak show in York. Should be a great start to the wargaming year, hopefully the weather will be OK. If you want to stay hello I can be found on the Lance and Longbow stand. If keen you can refight the battle of Hexham 1464, which will be played using Lion Rampant Rules, or you can buy some of my rummage, the proceeds from which will go to the Army Benevolent Fund. Friday, 27 February 2015. Just in time I've completed my entry to the SOGGy "Paint your wagon" charity auction it's a Gypsy Caravan by Blotz. It took quite a bit of effort to complete and I'm not convinced that MDF is the right material for this scale vehicles. Monday, 11 May 2015. Lentini - road and rail WIP. Despite the recent bad weather I managed to get out in the garage and work on more of the terrain for Lentini. First the roads mounted on rubber roofing and painted grey then dry brushed a dusty yellow shade (Wilco Lemon Sorbet) to fit with the rest of the terrain. The railway is no so far advanced the I've used the Hornby track foam glued to hardboard. It'll be painted before replacing the tracks. One piece will be a level crossing. Copies of my rules.

Some of the figures were transformed to carry some metal barbed wire I had hanging around since finishing the defences of my Omaha beach. The flamethrowers are ESCI. The Terço da Armada Real ( Royal Fleet Terço) was a famous military unit built during the Iberian Union. Around 1621 it sported this uniform under Filipe II rule:. But during the War of Restoration the uniform changed to green and yellow facings. The sources from 1664 show them with black feathered hats. But I have more boxes of helmeted infantry and so helmets they have.

My sixth Jäger battalion is complete and that means all three regiments of infantry for the 16.Lw FD! Again the same mix of soft and hard plastics, using PSC, Esci, Revell, Chinese Airfix and Atlantic. Rules so you can use the extra figures as FO or radios for the command stands. The accompanying Airfix Kubelwagen was built at the same time as the Sdkfz 223.
