Beginning in 2006, my oeuvre started an incremental move away from realism, and became more abstract. In 2008, I moved my focus to the found object and began with that most commonplace item of any artist’s studio- the brush. Starting in 2012, I began using canvas as my substrate. I am a colorist, in the manner of Matise and Rothko. I create images that are pleasing to the eye, yet have deeper, mixed meanings. Featured Artist, HighBrow Magazine. MSSA Summer 2012 Arts Show.
