My Life Down Under. September 30, 2012. 1 Down 3 To Go! As my first month studying abroad in Australia comes to an end, I have plenty to be thankful for. If my time in Queensland were to end today, I could not complain, as this month has been incredible. Luckily, I still have 3 more months remaining. With all of this being said, I would be remiss if I did not thank the people who made this possible for me. They would be my incredible parents! I will leave you with a few things that I have learned about this crazy place the locals call ‘Straya. 1-Bats here are not little fruit bats, they are more like birds of prey. 2-The Aussie countryside and national parks are immaculate. 8-Kangaroos do in fact exist.
