Sunday, March 9, 2014. Heroic cruiser injured in Mexico. Coming to the aid of someone in need is exactly what we would’ve expected from our cruising friend John on. But hearing about the aftermath of his life-changing injury shocked and saddened us. Please take a moment to read about John’s courageous story – and about the strength and solidarity of the cruising community – on. S/v Eagle’s blog. And remember to always use the kill switch on your outboard! Hope to see pictures of you back aboard. We'd lov...

Monday, February 17, 2014. A birthday road trip. It was a big weekend. We were celebrating Aaron’s birthday! So we packed up the car and headed a few hours southeast of Auckland to one of New Zealand’s favorite summertime destinations … the Coromandel Peninsula. This bit of land juts into the South Pacific Ocean and is known for giant green-lipped mussels, beautiful white beaches, lush forests and dramatic vistas. Check, check, check and check. The resident kitty demanded lots of love. The water temperat...

Mystical Backyard: AND WE'RE OFF!! 10:05am
http://lawn-gnome-ambush.blogspot.com/2009/10/and-were-off-1005am.html
In the heat of battle I wove a tapestry of obscenities that as far as we know is still hanging in space over Ballard. Saturday, October 31, 2009. The race has started! Eric was the lucky team member that got to do the start. Every year the race organizers do something goofy at the start. This year they made the racers face backwards on their seats. When the green flag dropped the racers had to swing around and go! Eric is 65A, orange bike, black gear. October 31, 2009 at 11:36 AM. You are visitor number:.

Due to this we lost two places are back at 22nd. This is a good example of how lack of preparation and constancy can be bad news. Now we fight to gain those places back. October 31, 2009 at 10:01 PM. Ok So with day light savings does that mean an extra hour of racing? November 1, 2009 at 7:41 AM. You are visitor number:.

In the heat of battle I wove a tapestry of obscenities that as far as we know is still hanging in space over Ballard. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Due to some ingenious stroke of luck, Tina was able to obtain a few Apple Cup tickets this year. For those that don't know, Apple Cup is the big game in Washington where rival teams the UW. Huskies and the WSU. We were pretty excited to go to the game, but I was also excited to re-live some of our college experiences. By priming the ol. Yes, they ARE lucky!

http://lawn-gnome-ambush.blogspot.com/2009/10/sound-test-passed.html
In the heat of battle I wove a tapestry of obscenities that as far as we know is still hanging in space over Ballard. Saturday, October 31, 2009. Scott and I just passed our sound tests. These tests are new this year. They have a dB meter and won't let anyone race whose bike is over 99dB. Scott: 85dB @ 3870. Jon: 94dB @ 4600. October 31, 2009 at 9:57 AM. Nice going there, make sure to take that pre race pot shot. I am disappointed that you didnt pass the sound test as superbly as Eric. I love Kung Fu.
