The Windles

Tuesday, October 14, 2014. 10 Random things from our life these days! Micah and I had a little at-home date night and carved a pumpkin one day last week. Actually I mostly just scraped out the seeds and let Micah do the artistic part, because he is really good at that! And I read James Herriot stories aloud while I watched, because I can't stay awake at night when I am just sitting. :) I thought the final product came out pretty good, even though the moon didn't want to be a circle. My hope is that somed...

The Windles: December 2013

http://www.windleswindow.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Ciara is five months old! Some of her more recent accomplishments in these last five months are:. Laughing - the first time she actually laughed was the night we got home from our three week trip to see my family when she was about 12 weeks. I guess she was glad to get home. :). Playing peek-a-boo - She thinks that peek-a-boo is the best game ever, and it is a sure way to cheer her up when she is sad! Things she is still working on figuring out:. How to grab things with both h...

The Windles: November 2013

http://www.windleswindow.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 23, 2013. Oh, the memories that the word November brings! Nathan (brother, not brother in-law) came into the room the other day while Lanna and I were over at my parents house visiting. Nate walked in and announced, No shave November! Im not quite sure when Lana last posted, so I figured that I should put up a little bit of an update, for all you avid followers. ;-). Of course, I need to remind every one that yes, baby Ciara is still very much alive and kicking! Today, at the hear of t...

The Windles: June 2013

http://www.windleswindow.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 22, 2013. Our lives are slowly changing each day as we are getting ready for the new member of the Windle clan. So far, we’ve managed to stay strong and not discover what the baby will be, and since the due date is July 7, I think that we just might make it! I’ve been holding off writing anything in the hopes that Lanna will write another post, but she’s pretty busy with other stuff right now (but we’ll get into that later J. Yes, they are blood related! It was a lot of fun! We also took C...

Mechanical Moments: April 2014

http://mechanicalmoments.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 28, 2014. Best Day. Ever. Yesterday, seeing how the weather was gorgeous, had us both in a cheery mood and feeling like doing something great. I convinced my husband to go to the backyard and determine which of the trees can be cut down. There is moss growing where grass should be growing and several of the trees are dead anyway. So those were easy decisions and then we continued meandering back to the "shrubbed-in" section of our land. It's like our own little paradise! He did a lot of the...

Mechanical Moments: Amusing Moments and Such

http://mechanicalmoments.blogspot.com/2015/06/amusing-moments-and-such.html

Saturday, June 13, 2015. Amusing Moments and Such. Well maybe it's because there are just so many hard working people who like holding the little dude! Blake sold the motor out of our truck this week. The truck that we drive every day. The Chevy. The nice white Chevy that doesn't often break down but is just strangely reliable for us. Yep. Sold. The reason? Well some nice guy needed a motor for his truck and this way we can build a better one for ours! Well that was thoughtful! I like having a kid becaus...

Mechanical Moments: July 2014

http://mechanicalmoments.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Last year we were in the parade and really wanted to do so again, but considering all the candy that everyone throws, we decided to add to that. We got these adorable frisbees and they actually fly quite well! They were a total hit - even with most of the adults! We also got some candy too :). My energy was low; my inspiration was null and void. That encouraged us all to keep everything simple, i.e. no trailer/float! Note the mid-air frisbees and candy! Thursday, July 3, 2014.

Mechanical Moments: June 2014

http://mechanicalmoments.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 23, 2014. I got to volunteer at the Alive Festival again in the Compassion booth - it was just as much fun as. Only this time it rained the whole time. :). I love the Compassion program. I can not express how much I love it. You know the classic little story of the little boy who won't eat his supper and the mommy who says "Eat up, Johnny. Some child in Africa would love to eat that! And so little Johnny replies "Well let's send it to them then! Much and they will say "thank you for loving t...

Mechanical Moments: August 2014

http://mechanicalmoments.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 16, 2014. Quick trip to VT. Check us out - we made the fastest trip to Vermont ever, and definitely the most fun. (Here's the catch: Leave at 4:00 am. you miss rush hrs in all the cities and the day seems to just go so fast! We even stopped to take pictures at the scenic spots, and we almost. We also stopped to see Joe, who stopped mowing for a few minutes to come meet up with us. Here are the two cute girls that we drove up there to see! She would take food from anyone though! Dad is so...

Mechanical Moments: July 2015

http://mechanicalmoments.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Captain meets his Cousin in California. Being parted by hundreds of miles is particularly sad for sisters when they have little tykes. I want the boys to be friends but the distance. So you would understand the excitement when Lanna went to California for Josh's wedding too. That meant. All three of us sisters got to be together. And so did our two little boys. Zane and Shane,. Doesn't mean that they loved it, but their grandparents sure did! And Lanna got to hold my baby. Wednesd...

Mechanical Moments: September 2014

http://mechanicalmoments.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 28, 2014. Sigh* That was blissful! We went to Outer Banks for a week and did simply nothing. We rented the nicest little condo. The perfect part about a condo is that the kitchen comes fully stocked and you can go for a week of vacation, but really not have to eat out at all if you wish. And we're weird like that so we mostly packed our own food. Including fruit loops. Just like our first honey moon. Except we skipped the chocolate milk this time. Those two brothers sure were determined!

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. And He Looks Like? I dug out both of our baby pictures to compare to Shane. Everyone sees Blake when they look at him, no question on that one! Our baby pictures surprised me because for the first time, I could say that he actually looked a little like me. :). Still, he mostly looks like his daddy. Ok I admit it. He really still does look more like his dad than his mom. But that's ok. I like that look pretty well. ;). Monday, August 10, 2015. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Life Is ...
