Sunday, July 11, 2010. Today is the day! We are leaving on our road trip across America in just a few hours! We are so excited and can't wait to hit the road. We are especially well prepared because Ian has spent the last few days scouring metro Atlanta for Harry Potter 4, 5, 6 for our listening pleasure for the next 3 weeks. Monday, July 12, 2010. Well we made it to our first destination successfully! And I figured out how to post one picture at a time using my iPhone. Unfortunately I did not take very many pictures on the phone last night, but there will be more to come soon! We had a great time exploring New Orleans. Thursday, July 15, 2010. I am happy to report that my first visit to Texas was a big success. We had a blast the past few days visiting some of Ian's family in Texas and visiting several different cities and towns. Our first day we went to Austin for half the day and we loved it! I am blessed to have my same preceptor that I did from my practicum last semester so everything is familiar and we work really well together. I am learning so much and think that I am really going to enjoy my unit. Since I never finished my posts from our trip (we were camping for most of the last portion, so didn't have internet), here are some of my favorites:. San Francisco at the Fisherman's Wharf. Monday, June 28, 2010. Busy, Busy, Busy! So, we have been quite the busy bees around here lately! I am sorry that I have not been posting lately, but I have hardly had time to sit down! Updates to come soon about our 13 mile backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail, moving to Atlanta, and preparing for our trip! Saturday, July 24, 2010. Sorry that I am a little behind on my blog updates- we have not had wireless in a while. I thought we would have had it last night in Las Vegas but it was $13.99! Sidenote: As my family (and now Ian) know, I can get a little obsessive with trip planning. (On our flight to Hawaii a few years ago I read the entire Hawaii guidebook and took notes- yes I'm a dork! Now, when it is Ian's turn to drive, I spend a lot of the time looking up what we are going to do at our next destination.

The dark cold season of winter is finally retreating in Eastern Europe, which is to say the least, is very exciting. I have not looked forward to Spring this much since 2001. The Mills in Manila. We've moved across the world again.to the Philippines! Monday, May 30, 2011. Have you ever been to a Hungarian wedding? The wedding ceremony was in a very old Catholic church near our apartment in Budapest. The kind of church Americans go visit when they are touring Europe. It was somewhat odd that I was sitting and participating in such an important event than photographing the flying angel baby statues. Hungarians know how to party! We are very happy for Jeff and Judit!
