Raquo; Roots of the Canoe Club. Roots of the Canoe Club. Origin of the Name. The name is also a tribute to the generally forgotten vibrant community of Canoe Clubs. From roughly 1890 to 1930, there were scores of Canoe Clubs along the Eastern seaboard and up into Canada, as well as scattered outposts in Western New York and the Midwest. These Canoe Clubs were built around the concept of inter-club and regional canoe racing, but there was generally a significant social aspect to each club.

Our general approach to wine is to stay on the edges of the mainstream currents and conventions so that we can offer fine wines at a fair price. We currently offer wines from 60 vineyards, with many available by the glass. We are proud to serve 17 Beers and Hard Ciders from 11 Vermont and New Hampshire Breweries and Cideries as well as various local spirits:.
