Tasting notes of some wines as we "go thru them" and wine tasting events. Saturday, January 27, 2007. Evolution by Sokol Blosser. Evolution - 9th Edition - Luck? Fun Label (and Cork), have to read the back to know it's from Sokol Blosser (Willamette Valley, Oregon). Made from 9 grapes, 12% alc., US$25. They have a red equivelant, can't remember it's name, but tried before and enjoyed. But different and enjoyable, initially think it's going to be sweet, but actually fairly dry. Anderson Valley, Yountville - 12.5%. Part of Cliff Lede Vineyards, by the Poetry Inn. These grapes are from Carneros though. Pinot Noir based, 5 yrs on tirage, $35 (CDN). Since we are so close to the work, I wanted to keep a diary of the "Putting Up" of our house. Monday, February 28. 4 metres of drain rock moved all the way around the house to fill this. The perimiter drain runs into the concrete drum. The Roof gutter system will also drain into it and then a lid put on. Sunday, February 27.
