Wednesday, July 02, 2014. Rafiki: How the days started and ended. On Sunday night, after a roughly 32 hour journey door-to-door, we returned home from a two week visit at the Rafiki Village in Kenya. It was wonderful to be greeted with a kid-crafted welcome home sign and decorations. Oh, and the hugs from the kids were the best! It's hard to pick a spot to start retelling about our time in Kenya. But, I guess I'll start with how we began and ended each day. By 7:15pm it was dark! RMs at the Village.

Friday, May 31, 2013. We met some friends at the Audubon Trail for a little nature study. The kids climbed trees and logs, listened for birds when they managed to be quiet, and looked around. We stopped for some sketching in our nature journals. After our walk we had a picnic lunch in the park and all the children threw rocks in the river. Links to this post. Thursday, May 23, 2013.
