Is it wine o clock yet? The tale of a 30-something Mummy, two children and several bottles of wine. Wednesday, 13 May 2015. I've been doing a lot of thinking about my upcoming 'big' birthday in October lately. Overall, I feel much more positive about it - life is pretty good (if busy) at the moment and I've stopped worrying that it means I'm getting 'old'. Tuesday - Chilli and ginger chicken stir-fry with noodles. Wednesday - Tuna pasta bake topped with crisps (this is one of the childrens' favourites and a regular family meal in our house). Monday, 28 April 2014. Dipping my toe back in. Been far too long so need to wean myself back into blogging slowly! Just in case anyone is wondering, yes we are fully moved into the house - although its far from finished and still throwing problems at us every week. But I have a kitchen and the kids are happy, plus we can finally entertain regularly which is fab! So, will kick off with a rough menu plan for this week. Monday - bacon and asparagus salad with a creme fraiche, fresh lemon and pesto dressing.

Monday, 25 March 2013. That's me this week. Skiving. Skiving off the diet, skiving off menu planning. Skived my Weight Watchers meeting tonight, skiving off work tomorrow morning. Will probably skive off things like changing the towels and dusting the house. It's a general skiving week and I really don't care. Monday, 22 April 2013. It never rains but it pours. Today we've seen the third collapse of our house moving chain (not our house this time, so waiting on the agents to repair it), the return of the rats which initially prompted us to consider moving, and then to top the day off I managed to gain weight at my WW meeting. Needless to say the gin is open and the gloves are off as of tomorrow. Monday - Jamie's sausages and lentils with a tomato salsa. Tuesday - the tuna Nicoise we didn't have last weekend.
