本当に素晴らしいワインを作りますが、どこにも気負いやきどりがなく、 一緒にいるだけで、心地よくなる人、それがダニエル ワグナーであり、 ワインもそのままかなりピュアで自然体です。 今シュテンペルでは、蔵の横の牛舎だった古い建物 １８４０年築 を ワインと地元のお料理が楽しめ、泊まることもできるゲストハウスに 改築したとかで、お客様と歓談されていたにも拘わらず、 中からお母さんがわざわざご挨拶にいらしてくださいました。 ２００５年は前年より収穫が１５ も低く、 品質は更によくなった とか。 さて、いよいよミネラルたっぷりで、パーカー氏から９３点という 高得点をたたき出したあの ポルフィル の畑を見に行く事になりました。 戻りは、がたがたの細い山道 道がない をオフロード車が猛烈な速さで 駆け下りて行き、私の心臓はバクバク。 えっと、ですね、ひとつひとつがとっても完成度が高くって、 う ん、う ん、っと、初めて貴方のワインを飲んだ時から もう素晴らしくって、感動して、 そのなんというか.

試飲したリースリングは、細やかでしっかりした酸がたっぷり詰め込まれており、 香りにとろみがあって、蜂蜜やアプリコットの甘い風味が とっても心地よく、オーガニックでも、こんなにステキな香りの リースリングが作れるんだという、模範的なワインでした。 農薬散布が当たり前だったころ、お爺様のオットー ヘンリッヒ ザンダー氏が 無農薬有機農法 に取り組み始めました。 自然を尊び、手間隙を惜しまず、安全で、最高品質のワインを 目指した彼は、当時、変わり者として、周囲の冷ややかな眼差しにさらされながら、 それにも負けず、代々、その農法は受け継がれ、現在のステファンさんで３代目で、 すでに５０年もの無農薬有機の取り組みとなります。
