Caveat: Venter: January 2005
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_archive.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Sunday, January 30, 2005. It's a strange thing, but last night while I was outside smoking (yes, I know I need to quit), I realized that it was the first time since we moved here (just before Thanksgiving) that it has felt like night. Night, you see, has qualities all itsown in my mind, and I don't mean just the relative lack of natural light. Posted by Andrew Purvis @ 11:48 PM. Thursday, January 27, 2005. And even mail-order brides...

Caveat: Venter: Straw Poll
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2011/02/straw-poll.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Saturday, February 12, 2011. So once more Ron Paul has won the CPAC Presidential Straw Poll. And before anyone jumps on me for the selection of source, I took the first hit on Google). The most amusing part of this is the quote from David Keene, organizer of the host group, in referring to Congressman Paul (R-TX): "Ron Paul energized kids, and I want those kids.". You're looking for kids? You don't want educated youth? I have a ques...

Caveat: Venter: August 2005
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Monday, August 22, 2005. New Semester, Old Faces. I always like to hear what my former students are up to. I rarely get spontaneous comments regarding the value of courses. This, as much as anything, is why I teach, though there is no way to ensure such results will follow. Posted by Andrew Purvis @ 7:56 PM. Sunday, August 14, 2005. Posted by Andrew Purvis @ 10:37 PM. Friday, August 12, 2005. The Deed Is Done. I suspect that what I ...

Caveat: Venter: March 2005
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Thursday, March 31, 2005. I made a deal last year, but it was a bad one. I am usually good at making deals, but I caved to the persistent pressure laid upon me by both my mother and my wife. The deal was a that I would get a hair cut (bye-bye pony tail), which I did on January 11th, and start dressing "more professionally" for work. And is it wrong for dressing in a way that makes me feel comfortable? Monday, March 28, 2005. It is p...

Caveat: Venter: Ann Coulter Declares Most Sports Invalid
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2014/06/ann-coulter-declares-most-sports-invalid.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Thursday, June 26, 2014. Ann Coulter Declares Most Sports Invalid. Here is a list of current Olympic sports that are, per Ann Coulter, not really sports: Archery Athletics Badminton Curling Fencing Football (Soccer) Golf (who added THAT to the Olympics? Go find a sport that is that extreme. Go find it and play it badly. Please. Posted by Andrew Purvis @ 9:49 PM. The Best Show Youre Not Watching (and Sue). The Race is On.

Caveat: Venter: Coulter Fail
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2014/08/coulter-fail.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Friday, August 08, 2014. Once more Ann Coulter has jumped the shark. Actually, I think she has jumped the majority of the world's shark population by this point, but that's for another time. As many know by now, Ann Coulter has claimed. Posted by Andrew Purvis @ 4:34 PM. Coulter has lost all credibility. See essay: Ann Coulter’s Xenophobic Anti-Gospel of Hate at http:/ t.co/aQGhLuWwtD. Ann Coulter Declares Most Sports Invalid.

Caveat: Venter: Poll Session(s)
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2009/02/poll-sessions.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Friday, February 06, 2009. Republican Senator Jeff Sessions appeared today on CNBC to discuss the stimulus bill. When asked why, after Republicans claimed that the way to stimulate a growing economy is tax cuts, are Republicans now saying that tax cuts are the way to stimulate this shrinking economy. His answer? Polls show that the American people believe tax cuts are the fastest way to inject money into the economy. The Race is On.

http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Sunday, October 23, 2005. I finally have a complete, if not beautiful, version of BridgeKeeper. I released the 1.0 (final) version at DashboardWidgets.com. At just after 10 pm Pacific on Friday night (replacing the 0.9b version that lacked certain required interface tweaks). Apple's widget doanload site. Now has a copy, and it should be up there too, provided it passes muster, within a couple days. What is BridgeKeeper, you ask?

Caveat: Venter: Two-Part Irony
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2009/04/two-part-irony.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Thursday, April 23, 2009. Enter today's discussion between President Obama and credit card companies. Kudlow and many of his fellow commentators are crying foul that the government might try limiting the ability of companies issuing consumer credit to change the terms of that credit after it has been granted, even penalizing people who pay on time every time. Now if only we could get government on board with this concept. Hi there, ...

Caveat: Venter: July 2005
http://caveatventer.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Think about all of the things that make your brain itch. These are mine. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Let's take a look at Windows for a moment. It began with 1.X, 2.X, and 3.X versions. Then came Windows 95, Windows 98/ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. That's seven versions of the consumer product, by my count. Copland, running far behind schedule, was scrapped, and only a few of the GUI features saw the light of day in MacOS 8. Though 8 was a tremendous improvement over 7.5.3, much of that was ...Here's th...
