My life, my handmade. Here is what I have made recently. Looks familiar? Yes, These are from Amy's. My son is going to his friend's birthday party next week. Amy often made this pretty children's pencil bag as a birthday gift. This will be perfect gift! Her instruction is easy to follow. I should make one of these for my daughter someday. His friend always put a big bow. So I think she will love it. My son made this heart using perler beads. How sweet he is! Make your own badge here. I'm a ginger monkey.

My life, my handmade. Happy 5th Birthday to my son. We celebrated his birthday last Saturday with families and friends. This year we did not have big party, however I challenged to bake and decorate his birthday cake as his request. This last 5 years fly so fast. He was 6lb 14oz, 20" tall baby. Now he is 44lb, 47" tall. He can read and speak basic Japanese language. He loves to play with his car and train, and he also love to drawing. My life, my handmade. I cooked cranberry sauce for tomorrow Thanksgiving. Recipe is from here. We always are invited to our friend's home to spend time together. My life, my handmade. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. I am having joyful holidays and exciting to coming new year. This year, my friend prepared to make the cookie house. (not ginger bread house). The homemade cookie house was also delicious to eat! We followed the direction to create the pattern of house. Then we baked the cookies and assembled the house with sugar glue. My son's job was decorate the house. I made small Christmas cake. Well I have an announcement.

My life, my handmade. Summer kimono for my son. Summer kimono "jinbei" in japanese. Summer holiday keeps me busy. I wish if I had more time to concentrate for sewing. Here is my newest project for my son. I made summer kimono called "Jinbei" in Japanese. It has been two years since I made Jinbei for him. This photo is 2 years ago. Oh he is so cute! Time fly so fast. I found the fabric at Joann. This is traditional Japanese pattern, I am glad to find it! Next, I want to make something for my shop.

My life, my handmade. Hair clip for my niece. This is the request from my niece. It is easy to make and great as handmade gift! I purchased supplies from Soi Flower. She quickly shipped the items. Great seller. Thank you so much. My niece said that she likes light blue hair clips. And This is my son. Thank you for modeling for mom! My tulips began to bloom in the back yard. I thought I choose color tulips, however it looks white. But next day, I found out it turned to pink! I took photo of the same tulip.

My life, my handmade. I made baby booties last week. The pattern is from Zakka Handmades. I think you already know, yes this is my dear friend Amy's. Instruction is easy to follow. I'd like to make more project from her book in the future. It will perfect fit to my almost 3 months old baby. We will be invited wedding party next month. She will wear this booties to go to the party. Addition, I made her dress(not for the wedding) from Japanese sewing book recently. It came out so cute! Gift for baby boy.

After I received my sewing machine back from maintenance, it works very well! My life, my handmade. Finally I completed baby quilt! I love how it turned out. It is very charming! I added two borders around of pinwheels blocks and simply choose straight stitch for quilting. Backing fabric is also simple red/white combination. Now I am 25 weeks. I started to feel heartburn more often. I have to avoid meat, fried food, chocolate, low vegetable, orange and grapefruit.
