Monday, October 4, 2010. Whipped Buttercream Vanilla Frosting. The yummy and different thing about this frosting is that you make whipped cream and fold it into a vanilla buttercream. It's delicious! PS If you're afraid of cream cheese- don't be. The cream cheese isn't overly powerful. 1 1/2 packages of cream cheese (12 oz total), softened (you may do less and just add the equivalent amount of butter). 2 cups powdered sugar. 6 tablespoons butter, softened. 3/4 cup heavy cream, chilled.

Thursday, October 28, 2010. I ALWAYS use more cheese than what is called for. 3 C uncooked macaroni. 1 C extra sharp cheese. 2 1/2 C milk. Boil macaroni until done. Drain. Pour milk in pan and stir in flour. Cook over med heat until it boils and boil for 1 min, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and add cheeses until melted. Stir in noodles and pour into pan. Made by Tara (recipee from my sister Kathryns blog. 1 (16 ounce) package Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided. 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened. 2 (8 ounce) packages semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted. How to Easily Dip Truffles. Place truffle ball in melted chocolate to coat; roll if necessary. I pretty take it to most potlucks and always get rave reviews! Cilantro Bean Quinoa Salad. 1 cup uncooked quinoa. 1 cup chicken broth. 1/2 cup orange juice. Cook quinoa in broth, water and orange juice. It cooks much like oatmeal or rice. 1/3 cup chopped cilantro. 1/4 cup evoo (olive oil). 2 tbsp fresh parlsey (I have used 1 tbsp or dried parsley if no fresh on hand).
