In high school shop class he was selected to do antique furniture restoration for the principal and teachers. Bill still harbors fond memories of winning the wood-working award as a junior in high school. Tomorrow I’ll be carving spoons with Peter Follansbee. April 30, 2015. We took down a couple of small birch trees today for the spoon carving class with Peter Follansbee. Tomorrow. It’s definitely green wood carving, the sap was running out of the tree like someone opened a faucet when we cut them down! I wish I had taken a picture.
