Saving pennies and finding deals! Sunday, August 23, 2009. Great buys at Walgreens. So I admit, I am addicted to Walgreens. Is there a 12 step program that I can attend? We live about 30 minutes from Walgreens- well, we live about 3o minutes away from any of the big stores. Today I gathered up my coupons and register rewards and found some good deals! After buying a house, I soon realized that my cheap apartment furniture looked sad in their new surroundings but furnishing a house was quite expensive. I found Ana White's blog. Which provided me with plans to build my own furniture. The only problem was my lack of carpentry skills. Luckily, my father is a carpenter and jumped at the chance to build some furniture. No, seriously, he loves the work that much. I decided I needed one long shelf in my dining room to use as a bar. Minimal DIY night stands.
