Ittybits & Pieces: July 2015
http://ittybit.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 17, 2015. So many things . Summer has come . but the time I thought I'd have to fritter about and catch up here hasn't so much materialized. Another patchwork of my best intentions. Today is Amah's birthday. The kids and I visited. A tiny little party with immediate family . but no picture. For the first time in years she was able to eat meals made of solid food: An omlette and toast, baked fish and boiled beans, birthday cake. She is happy and ravenous. Progress. Links to this post. Shots o...

Monday, May 11, 2015. I don't know what shape I expected life to take back when was waiting for my experiences to gel. But I can't complain it hasn't been straight up and down. Ittybits & Pieces: Twenty days
http://ittybit.blogspot.com/2013/11/twenty-days.html
Wednesday, November 20, 2013. I didn't feel much like writing, I guess. That, and I was feeling sorry for myself. Sorry that I hurt my stupid ankle. Sorry that I couldn't run for nearly eight weeks. Sorry that when I was able to start again I felt like I'd started from square -8. Almost as humbling as finding out your fourth grader tells the nurse "Mom is going to be mad if you call her because I feel sick.". But perhaps not nearly as humbling as being mistaken for a grandmother. Being called a housewife.

Ittybits & Pieces: Tell mama ...
http://ittybit.blogspot.com/2007/01/tell-mama.html
Friday, January 26, 2007. It's rare that anything ever turns out the way you think it will. When you come to think of it, how often did whatever you planned for your life ever come to to pass? If I had followed the roadmap I drew way back when, I'd be single, living on the west coast and doing something so fabulous with my life that the light from fabulous would take 18 million years to get to the place I am right now, which is still pretty darn good. Go ahead, tell mama. Having a boy is fun. I think...

Ittybits & Pieces: February 2015
http://ittybit.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2015. You wake up one morning. The number after your name ticks up by one. And you realize something just isn't quite right with your little world. The sun peeks through your windows and its light is set further ablaze by the color of your soundings. This can not stand. And so . we change. But as we do, we have to remember. . Some things always stay the same. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'M READING YOUR MIND. One Life Per Customer, Please. Student of the Year.

Ittybits & Pieces: Snow day
http://ittybit.blogspot.com/2014/12/snow-day.html
Sunday, December 14, 2014. He could not contain himself. I couldn't contain him, either. She knew I didn't want to go out in the cold and the wet. She didn't want to go out there either. But something in my face . She's called it The Look of Disappointment . Made her haul on her dayglow coat and too-small boots and pretend to care about snowmen of the smallest stature.
