There Yet - Sam and Jess were in Bolivia: Dominoes
http://samandjessehlers.blogspot.com/2012/04/dominoes.html
Watching Miles play dominoes a few weeks ago, as he put the dominoes back in their box I had a thought of "those are the pieces of my life, slotting back into place". When saying good-bye in Bolivia, it made it 1000 times easier to say "Hasta Mayo! I'm really awful with good-byes, and even though things have changed now, there's a small blessing in there somewhere. When leaving for Bolivia, a very good friend and I had to resort to a casual "See you later" or we would have fallen apart. 01 May, 2012 01:12.

There Yet - Sam and Jess were in Bolivia: Mostly the same, just a bit different
http://samandjessehlers.blogspot.com/2012/04/mostly-same-just-bit-different.html
Mostly the same, just a bit different. We've been back almost a month now, and although we should probably process the experience and blog about it, it doesn't feel possible to sum up in a blog post. Luckily we've met with many of our family and friends and supporters, so most of our readers are up to date anyway! Are we going to Ken's house for lunch? Part of our Bolivia routine). Who wants carpet in their house? Can't the windows be about 2 feet high so I can just walk out them whenever I want? 30 Apri...

There Yet - Sam and Jess were in Bolivia: I Don't Know What to Do
http://samandjessehlers.blogspot.com/2012/04/i-dont-know-what-to-do.html
I Don't Know What to Do. It's been almost two weeks since we arrived back in Canada, and I'm having a hard time plugging back in here. I'm still wrestling with the same question I always have been - what am I going to do for a career? I'm not referring to finding a job, but finding a career. I've had a one tracked mind today, constantly reviewing myself and the career opportunities that are relevant to my personality. I hope that some day, I'll find more than dead end after dead end. Praying for you Sam.

There Yet - Sam and Jess were in Bolivia: Not-So-Ordinary Days
http://samandjessehlers.blogspot.com/2012/06/not-so-ordinary-days.html
It is, however, kind of a funny reminder that I'm not sure God has too many ordinary plans for our little family. Okayfirst of all.glad you guys are okay as is your stuff. That being said.this kills me! Not sure that your life should make me smile but the irony of those two posts together makes me laugh. And of course we all know that my life runs a similar course so that means I get to laugh. =). Give Miles a hug from me! 19 June, 2012 17:16. So glad my life is entertaining to you, Ken! 01 - January 2011.

There Yet - Sam and Jess were in Bolivia: Ordinary Days + Speaking at Bethesda!
http://samandjessehlers.blogspot.com/2012/05/ordinary-days-speaking-at-bethesda.html
Ordinary Days Speaking at Bethesda! Do you remember the song by Great Big Sea. The one with the chorus that goes "Hey hey hey it's just an ordinary day, it's all your state of mind. At the end of the day, you've just got to say, it's alright". That song has been in my head since sometime before Christmas, I think because it seemed totally ridiculous and hilarious to be sitting on a bus in Bolivia humming about it being an ordinary day. We are looking forward to hearing you at Bethesda on the 3rd!

There Yet - Sam and Jess were in Bolivia: An Update on Life
http://samandjessehlers.blogspot.com/2012/09/an-update-on-life.html
An Update on Life. Over the Summer, I kept thinking that I wouldn't write on this blog anymore, but I noticed on our stats that people are still checking in, so I thought I'd post an update. Miles started school, and this is his second full week. So far he is loving it, and steps off the bus with a huge smile every day. I can't say I'm disappointed about having a couple hours to myself each morning, because. Sam is still working as an eavestrougher, and enjoying it. He's done a few long bike rides ov...

There Yet - Sam and Jess were in Bolivia: Sheet Metal and a New View
http://samandjessehlers.blogspot.com/2012/04/sheet-metal-and-new-view.html
Sheet Metal and a New View. Well, we did find our apartment. It's downtown, near the Assiniboine River and with a view of the legislative building (through the trees and power lines from the edge of the balcony). We'll start moving in on the first of May. We feel quite blessed to be able to live there. It has everything we were hoping to find in a new home including lower than average rent. Good. Jezza's big event last night also went really well. She seems incredibly happy lately. I like that.
