me and three: The Load Out
http://meandthreee.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-load-out.html
And one more makes four. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Last cloth nappy load. We are eight weeks shy of using cloth nappies for eight full years in this house (give or take the need for disposables when the cloths were being shipped across continents). And that was before Joey got a hold of them). But still I am loathe to throw them out, so they are going to the Aladdin's Cave of Oma's house till AunTia or some other sibling requires some spares. 12 August 2015 at 20:04. me and three: Like How The Water
http://meandthreee.blogspot.com/2015/08/like-how-water.html
And one more makes four. Monday, 10 August 2015. Like How The Water. And continuing in the spirit of exploring our local communities, we finally made it to the spray park in nearby KCA today. Once again though I wondered why. On earth I didn't make the effort to find this place a few months ago? 13 August 2015 at 09:04. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A blog about me. The Lucky Layman's: Mother's Day 2015
http://thelaymanfamily.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day-2015.html
Not lucky in anything special, just incredibly blessed by God! How lucky we are! Monday, May 11, 2015. We had a family-filled Mother's Day weekend, with just enough relaxation, busyness, and quality time to make for a pretty perfect weekend. Friday night we just hung out at home and I snuggled some chunky baby toes while Elyse helped Hubby mow the yard. And let's be honest, that didn't last for long so after I put Nora to bed, Elyse and I played CandyLand before bedtime. On Mother's Day Sunday we were jo...

me and three: Hey Sandy
http://meandthreee.blogspot.com/2015/08/hey-sandy.html
And one more makes four. Sunday, 16 August 2015. On Friday morning our German influence doubled with the arrival of my Tante (Oma came two weeks ago) and a suitcase full of German sausage, German chocolate, German Haribo and home-made schnaps. To be honest, an hour and a half after her flight landed and with still no sign of her at arrivals, I have to confess I was slightly worried that all that pork and Customs wasn't mixing very well. The view from the top. Comfier than an elephant! Much fun with the k...

Poverty Triumphant: July 2013
http://povertytriumphant.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. A Walk Through Malawi. This is the first trip I have been on, since starting my blog, that I haven't been able to post while out of country. It was a little weird. And since this blog is as much for myself as anyone else, can I walk you through Malawi? Sing a song and she will light up. My heart melted as I sat down next to her. Tuesday, July 9, 2013. As I find myself ready to leave for yet another trip overseas, I find myself often being asked, once again, the question I have str...

Poverty Triumphant: April 2014
http://povertytriumphant.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 17, 2014. Two Passions: My story. I found myself loving the kids I worked with, the families I met through them, the community these families formed together. This work led me to pursuing pediatrics in my nursing career where I got to learn more about these kids and continue to interact with them during some of their more challenging periods of life. I was hooked. This, more than most things, is what broke my heart. Long story short: I'm going back, but not with empty hands.

Poverty Triumphant: What do you do?
http://povertytriumphant.blogspot.com/2013/08/what-do-you-do.html
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. What do you do? What do you do when you come home from Africa? What do you say? What do you do? How do you fit yourself back into the person you were before? I've done this 5 times now. You'd think I'd know the answer. You miss the faces, the little hands in yours, the smiles, the hugs, the love. You cherish the relationships you built with your team and partners overseas. You marvel at the memories of selflessness and the giving spirits of those who have nothing by our standards.
