Monday, July 19, 2010. A bird with a wonderful name. It was in the city when I first saw this bird. We were driving home from Centenary pool and it was there, sitting on a fence, looking at our green car. I was surprised because of its shape, size and colors. Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Walking through the forest of gum trees you can be sure, dont walk off the path. If you really really need to, you will have to look around as carefully as you can and find a place with the least amount of leaves on the ground. You cant find moss growing in the forests here, too dry for it, I guess. It is dry twigs, leaves and some grasy bits and you never know what hides under it. And those nasties know how to camouflage. Pavisam niecīgā vējā, spoguļgludā jūrā un saulrietā kopā astoņas jahtas 11.augusta vakarā startēja no Engures uz Roņu salu jau par ikgadēju kļuvušajā Roņu Pirts regatē. No trīs ostām vienlaikus (Engures, Pērnavas un Romasāres) tika dots starts regatē, kas savu kulmināciju sasniedza Roņu salā kādā no vakara ballītēm. Laiks Brisbenā Laiks Rīgā. Svētdiena, 2011. gada 16. janvāris. Pamatīgi plūdi notikuši daudzās vietās, bet tikai esot tiem klāt es saprotu, ko tas nozīmē. Līdz šim ūdens apņemtās mājas un pa pilsētas ielām trakojošās upes bija vien zināma izklaide un dažas neērtības. Bet nekāds joks tas viss nav - ir miruši nu jau 17 cilvēki un vēl 14 ir pazuduši, tāpēc glābšanas brigādes joprojām pārmeklē plūdos cietušās mājas, bet lielas izredzes saglabāt šādu mirušo skaitu nav.
