ART TO WEAR JEWELRY
http://www.withheartbydesign.com/artist-statement.html
As an artist, I have always had a passion for creating in many different mediums. My newest desire for making unique repurposed art jewelry has been very gratifying for me. I love being able to take materials and give them a whole other purpose than what they were intended for. Always striving for originality, I love creating each piece and using different elements to make interesting forms into wearable art.

And still more birds. I have birds on the brain.maybe because of spring.probably because I've always had a soft spot for them. And when I see some fabulous bird prints, I go weak in the knees. Facebook page.I was smitten.a back and forth exchange ensued.soon my package arrived.8 bird prints were mine. I had a bit of fun using the prints as photography props.they are quite wonderful.hand colored. With just the right amount of vintage wear. Wishing the photos were clearer.that's the downside of the PNW...

Better late than never. While looking for something in my office the other day.which I can't even remember what it was at this point. I came across a folder of collage materials. I will often collect materials for a piece and put them all together in a folder so that the ideas and theme stay intact. I prepped a canvas today to finish up this collage.minus the cow. You can see the completed piece at. August 15-16 at the Everett Marina.I hope you'll stop by. Amy of four corners design. Links to this post.

four corners design: Reconstruction
http://fourcornersdesign.blogspot.com/2015/05/reconstruction.html
I've been working on collages for summer art shows. And in keeping with my word(s) for the year, dig deep. I am doing just that. I've dug out a few past collages that somehow didn't work. And taking them apart.removing some elements, tearing apart others, cutting portions out. And then combining the elements back together, strengthening the composition, adding in new objects, layering on paint or transfers. A feather tied on with jute twine was the last serendipitous touch. Amy of four corners design.

A recent lesson in bestill52, my online creative class with. Was to take one thing and see how many different ways you could photograph it. At first, nothing came to mind to really motivate me to do a series. But this past weekend.as I was cleaning up the garden bouquet that was now withered and dying, this one tulip caught my eye.and persuaded me to play. And while we're talking about one more thing. It doesn't take much.as I was rummaging through a stack of papers and ephemera looking for pieces to include in a giant collage I am working on, I spied it.an old library check-out card. My mind started spinning.putting the card aside, I kept it out of the pile so I could return to it. And spin the tale that spoke to me. Creating new pieces for my next summer show,. With Heart & Sole | A running blog about life
A running blog about life. With Heart and Sole. I don’t think it is any secret that training for a marathon is a big commitment. Training to raise money for a cause brings the commitment to a whole new level. It also makes the whole process that much more rewarding. More work? Yes But worth every effort. During my fundraising efforts I have confirmed that the world is full of kindness, such a beautiful feeling after last year’s Boston Marathon was struck with terror. I feel support from my community.

Heart In Hand | Finding a soul path
Heart In Hand Finding a soul path. Finding a soul path. July 2, 2014. I’m a day late writing this and even later posting it, but the sentiment is still heartfelt. The Summer Solstice here was wonderful – gorgeous weather, a day spent out in nature, and an evening ritual. I always await the June Solstice with mixed feelings. On the one hand, there is the beauty of the longest day and the reality that summer is. As the wheel spins through the second half of the year, that is my wish for myself: May I find ...

Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Olympia, for Greg Louganis and sometimes Leni Reifenstahl. You know very well your body's weight. Now heavy and down, now floating ever up. You have trained this transition. As you trained the tipping point. The fractional instant of immeasurable force. The will and the gut. For a moment from someone who jumps. To a diving boy: perfect, n human. That tells you nothing. Of the virus in your veins. Nothing revealed as you face the plank. White blood cells mobilized. Learn to dis...
