What the Heck We’re Doing – The Half
https://thehalfcincy.wordpress.com/2014/05/13/what-were-doing/comment-page-1
A Pay-What-You-Can Eatery in Cincinnati. What the Heck We’re Doing. About six months ago, Sarah McQueen and I started talking about what it would look like to start something. Not just anything…something that would capture our passions and meet tangible needs. Something that would reflect and participate in the beauty of redemption. Something that would breathe life into a city and into our souls. Limit the menu and offer a rotation of healthy, seasonal choices. All throughout Scripture and history, we s...
It Takes a Village – The Half
https://thehalfcincy.wordpress.com/2014/08/19/it-takes-a-village/comment-page-1
A Pay-What-You-Can Eatery in Cincinnati. It Takes a Village. I’ve heard people use giving birth as a metaphor for starting a business. I can’t really speak to whether that is a fair comparison, but I now know one thing to be true: they say it takes a village to raise a child, and it most definitely takes a village to get an idea off the ground. Creating opportunities for people with different stories to share an experience, a great meal, and perhaps a meaningful conversation. August 19, 2014. Follow Blog...

A Thanks and an Update – The Half
https://thehalfcincy.wordpress.com/2014/07/16/a-thanks-and-an-update
A Pay-What-You-Can Eatery in Cincinnati. A Thanks and an Update. So, about two months ago I wrote this blog post announcing we’d be starting a pay-what-you-can restaurant. Then we dropped off the face of the interwebs. But never fear: we are still starting said pay-what-you-can restaurant. Enough of the spiel, here’s what we’ve been up to since May:. Sarah and I both moved to Cincinnati (into my parents’ house, because we’re just that secure and awesome) from Wilmore, Kentucky. It was tou...We’ve b...

With Love & Scissors — DIY is the New Black
Apparel & Accessories. With Love and Scissors. DIY is the New Black. January 3, 2015. The first pair of shoes was a pair of bridesmaid shoes I received from a wedding I was in in Colorado. I had such a hard time styling them as they were a little too girly for my style. Stitch ripped ruffles from shoe (save ruffles for second project seen below). Used leftover craft paint from my trunk project. I painted a white base coat, follow by tan and gold shimmer paint. Filed Under: Apparel and Accessories. Making...

Monday, November 11, 2013. After a solid 5-ish years, a bunch of very misguided outfits and a lot of other side projects to which I dedicate much more time, I'm putting this ol' blog to rest. And keep abreast (lol) of what I'm doing with Filmme Fatales on Facebook. Monday, November 11, 2013. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He’s het...
