It was quite an adventure. I spent less than 24 hours there but don't let that fool you.I saw SO much! My first stop was this ancient observatory. There were twelve of these devises set up in the direction of each zodiac constellation. There was even one huge staircase leading up to the north star. Yeahthat was the worst idea EVER.

The branch president didn't give us callings.instead, he asked us spread out and lift where we stand. Ale and Sean- Musical number. More updates on that later. Now for the good stuff. Friday, August 5, 2011. Back on June 16th we celebrated Paul's Birthday. Him and I indulged in a feast of sushi, which was a rare occasion for both of us. We also were surprised when our mutual friend Hayley came over with a home made birthday cake. It was delicious. We also had a bbq with some friends. I took terrible pictures, but here are the ones I have. I think he may have been embarrassed that we sang a stirring rendition of Happy Birthday. I love this guy too. Hayley the cake maker.

However I have had some pretty incredible traveling experiences through USU. So far I have spent three weeks in Europe, one week in Fort Worth Texas to see the Van Cliburn piano competition, and now I got to visit New York City- all for free! Monday, August 16, 2010. I got to take a trip to Paul's home town called Wadsworth, a town just north of Chicago. Paul's house is covered in the greenest ivy you have ever seen. He has a huge back yard that connects to his cousins house. He grew up playing hockey every chance he could on his very own backyard pond. He also built a swimming pool with his dad. It was nice to escape the hot sticky Illinois heat by jumping in the pool. Mmmmm. We got to take the train! Paul waited for the train very patiently.

Sunday, May 27, 2012. The first hike of the season this year happened at The Wind Caves. It is actually my least favorite hike in all of Logan Canyon because it is very busy and not that beautiful.
