I drink too much. I don’t want my kids growing up afraid to tell me things. You drank? Okay You’re struggling? That’s alright. I want them to be able to talk to me without feeling like they’re going to be punished, so they end up isolating and keeping things from me. I want them to feel safe opening up to me without fear or judgment. When it’s hard to trust anyone nowadays, I want them to know I am always here, even when everyone leaves. You ever be soo nasty in ya head u gotta tell yourself to chill?

A Few of my Favorite Things: Father’s Day Edition. Father’s Day is coming up on June 21st. I don’t know about you, but I find shopping for my dad to be incredibly difficult. My dad’s Father’s Day gift isn’t on this list, wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise, but here are some ideas for the dads in your life. Is so cute. I love the colors and the sentiment. And then you were one…. And then you were one… Our sweet, darling, beautiful babe is one year old and it makes me feel so emotional. At the beginning of this year I became a mother. I could write all those cliche things;. I never knew a love like this, it’s the greatest challenge I’ve ever faced, my daughter is my greatest joy, I’m exhausted, I’m in awe. The list goes on and on and you’ve heard them all, and they are all profound understatements. Trips, company, and camping, we were busy, busy, busy!

December 3, 2015. Friends have been emailing and texting the last few weeks, worried that something was terribly wrong with me, or with us. Please be assured that everything is wonderful around here. I've gathered the concerns stem from the absence of my presence on social media lately. Once I explain that we are fine, and nothing is wrong, and we are doing well, everyone wants to know why.
