MC9S08SV16 Project Board

This is a project board for the MC9S08SV16. It is a full featured MCU with all peripherals, has 16K of Flash memory and uses a 5 volt power. It is packaged in a 32 pin SDIP. In the photo at top and to the left the Project Board is connected to a four line character LCD by the SPI2LCD. To the left is a photo of the bare project board and below that is a populated one. Note that this project board includes a space for a Serial EEPROM and also a DS1307 Real Time Clock chip. See my Software for the DS1307.

I2C to LCD Backpack. I was planning a small project that would require output to a four line, character LCD. Normally, I would have used my SPI to LCD. Backpack board but the SPI on the micro was also been used by port pins that I needed, however the IIC interface pins were available. Since I had already written the I2C software for the DS1307. And serial EEPROMs I decided to get a I2C LCD backpack. I developed the code on a 9S08JM60 version of the Firebird32. There is a similar unit from ElectroDragon.

Time, Temperature and Relative Humidity Project. I wanted to add a Relative Humidity sensor to my list of projects but most seemed to be somewhat complex to implement. The Honeywell sensor that I decided to use has a linear voltage output with RH; you just have to take into account the offset and slope. The sensor is rated at 5 Volts so I used my 9S08SH8 board. Since the board is already laid out for a real time clock and I already had the software for the DS1307. Here is the assembly language software.
