When Bread is Not the Staff of Life. Can you imagine a life without bread? So what happens if you are allergic to wheat the fundamental ingredient in bread? As a mom, it's my job to stay informed and make the best dietary decisions possible for my family. This is even more important when someone in your family has a food allergy. And those are only the obvious gluten containing foods. In any case the center depression in my loaf makes it look like the bread is smiling when you cut it, don't you think?

Look at what I found! My mom's old Agostura recipe book. She has had it ever since I was a little girl. The cover is missing so it is difficult for me to ascertain exactly when it was printed.
