Friday, August 22, 2008. Hard to say, but Ken Gray is reporting in today's Citizen. That the NCC has diplomatically indicated that it does not favour the use of the Western Parkway for light rail. If correct, this would certainly be good news for us. If the City of Vancouver can use cut-and-cover to bury their LRT tracks under Cambie Street, as they have, I fail to see any reason other than cost why the same cannot be done for Ottawa's LRT and Carling Avenue.
