Monday, June 8, 2015. It is the season for Gelato! I made my favorite Gelato today due to a request from my co-workers. I also remembered to take pictures during the process. The recipe is here. Thursday, August 8, 2013. Italy has been making coffee longer that Starbucks, Maxwell House or Mr. Coffee. However it does not need to be as complex as those ancient metal contraptions that take up half of your kitchen. My wife has had one of these on her stove top for as long as I can remember and you will find one in every kitchen in Europe. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Shrimp Ceviche with Rellenitos. I have started practicing my cooking for living in Ecuador. Did I tell you we are going to Ecuador? This winter for three months all four of us are going to spend 3 months in Ecuador. Why? We have always wanted to go abroad for a while. A whole year is to expensive and we would have to work. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. 1 bag mixed new potatoes chopped in at least quarters. 1 medium yellow onion chopped about the same size as the onions. 1/2 cup cornichons chopped. Toss potatoes and onions with olive oil, salt and pepper. Nuke for 5 minutes. Grill in grill basket in medium direct heat tossing every 4 minutes until done, about 16 minutes. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. I made paella again last night and I made it better. We (my family, my sister-in-laws family and an extra cousin for a total of 9) spent the weekend on The Sound camping. We hiked (a little, 2 year olds don't tolerate longer), went to the beach, played cards under the tarp while it rained and ate pretty well despite the campfire ban.
