Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Help for a Hospital - Phase 2. This is a clothes drying shelter that was constructed at a psychiatric hospital near Brasov. This is what greeted us when an NGO, who supports the hospital asked us for help. Winter snows had collapsed the structure. Back in April we dismantled the structure, inventoried re-usable materials. Monday, April 25, 2011. The missionaries in our district (Bucharest East) meet downtown before heading for midnight mass. We pass a church built in in the 1700's - still in use. We head toward the lights and our destination. Crowds begin to gather - we still have to get to the bright lights ahead. Thursday, March 31, 2011. We took a 40-minute train ride early in the morning. The station felt just like a scene from Harry Potter. The girl in the red jacket was born with her condition. Two years ago, she was entirely dependent on her mother (standing behind her) to feed, bathe, and dress her. Now, with the help of her physical therapist (the lady in the long gray sweater on the left) she feeds, and dresses herself and can even stand and take a few steps. Saturday, October 22, 2011. Our Supervisors Come for a Visit. Elder and Sister Leonard are the Area Humanitarian Specialists for Europe stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. They wanted us to take them to see some of our projects and meet the people. We started with a wheelchair distribution in Brasov which we hosted at the meetinghouse there. Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Here we are all together to celebrate Whitneys birthday. The Steeds were also able to join in the fun. We were able to have all of our kids there. It was great. Nate's birthday was just one week later. That weekend Mark was able to ordain Nate to the office of a high priest. He was sustained as a councillor to the Bishop that Sunday ( January 31, 2010).
