Founder/Director Pearl Stephen was honored by the Ministry of Child Development and Women’s Affairs and was presented an Award of Excellence for the Welfare of Women and Social Wellbeing in Sri Lanka. The Awards Ceremony was organized in lieu of International Women’s Day 2011 at the BMICH premises in Colombo. The WDC received an Award for its work towards Welfare of Women.
