Cindy's Threads: One down 2 to go
http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2010/04/one-down-2-to-go.html
03 April, 2010. One down 2 to go. Because of the fiddle factor, I like to work on the heels when I'm sitting at home. The problem is that I usually have tons of other things to do at home so I rarely sit and knit. So, I have brought to Hong Kong with me 3 half finished pairs of socks. I finally finished the first pair. Yeah! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Friend to Knit With. The Knitting Guild Association. Quilting and Mixed Media. Cindy's Threads: A Year A Day
http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2010/02/year-day.html
07 February, 2010. A Year A Day. I may not be real good about getting a blog post every day but I have been good about posting to my flickr account a photo a day for 2010. Check out my pictures here. I will try to start posting them here as well. Here is the latest picture that I had posted. I'm at Port Macquarie NSW at the moment and the pelicans are here! This is just one of the many photos that I took. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Friend to Knit With. A Year A Day.

Cindy's Threads
http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2013/01/photos-of-work-i-have-done-in-2012.html
10 January, 2013. Photos of work I have done in 2012. GReat work so far! That hat could even be a circle project! I completely agree with free motion circles. Sounds so easy but trying to maintain a circle and keep the stitching somewhat even is VERY hard. Great idea to post a montage of all your work this year. Will post something to my blog sometime later this week. Monday, January 14, 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Friend to Knit With. Quilting and Mixed Media.

http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2013/05/i-finished-cape-from-craft-sy.html
05 May, 2013. I finished the cape from the Craft. Entrelac class. I used the yarn that the pattern was written for: Twisted Fiber Art - Queen Evolution. It is a beautiful yarn to work with and I would highly recommend it! It was like knitting with butter! But if you are making this. I love working with entrelac and have already designed a couple of projects I'm working on. I also absolutely LOVE! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Cindy's Threads: Knitting Entrelac
http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2013/02/my-journal-project-with-my-friend.html
16 February, 2013. My journal project with my friend continues. For the month of February, we are working on a grid. A knitting technique that at least appears to be worked in a grid is Entrelac. Here is what I have going so far:. It can be a little confusing but I'm plodding along. I'm working through a Craftsy.com class which is very helpful. One of the fun things I've learnt is how to knit backwards! This piece is supposed to be a cowl. Will post photos when it is done. Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

Cindy's Threads: Green Craft
http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2010/02/green-craft.html
16 February, 2010. A few months ago I sent in a garment made out of dryer sheets to be considered for the magazine Green Craft. Today I found out that I have a 2 page spread in the magazine! I can't wait to see a copy. If you are in the States, check it out. Monday, March 22, 2010. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Friend to Knit With. Cindy's Threads: 30 Days 30 Lines-Day 2
http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2010/11/30-days-30-lines-day-2.html
16 November, 2010. 30 Days 30 Lines-Day 2. OK, some of these I've done on the same day but I'm not sure that I will get to it every day but I figured if I can do 30 pages, I will have done well. I actually love this piece. It just came to me and it is all the same type of line - just different lengths and directions. Excuse the fingers but the book wouldn't lay straight! Cindy's Threads: Tech Style Sewing
http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2014/02/i-recently-did-class-with-cheryl.html
10 February, 2014. I recently did a class with Cheryl Sleboda. Through the North Suburban NeedleArts Guild. Called Tech Style Sewing. What a FANTASTIC workshop it was! Cheryl was well organized, certainly knows her subject and the hand out was EXCELLENT! I would highly recommend taking a workshop with her. Think of all the possibilities! Flashing art work, flashing clothes, sound sensor lights, lights when you move, the list goes on! Here are a couple of shots from my workbook. This is a parallel circuit.

http://cindysthreads.blogspot.com/2011/09/i-completed-my-shawl.html
03 September, 2011. I completed my shawl. Actually it is more of a neck warmer. It wouldn't go around my shoulders but I like it. It was my first attempt at a shawl. I'm now doing a class at Craftsy.com. Called Mastering Lace Knits. It is a great way to learn how to knit. I get to following along with the instructor ( Laura Nelkin. And just hit the pause button to knit to the point she is and then continue. It's like having a knitting instructor in your living room! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
