Chez Lang, and Howe! Adventures in the ancestral homeland! - The rage of 1000 suns, the light of a million stars

He · rage · of · 1000 · suns, · the · light · of · a · million · stars. Chez Lang, and Howe! Adventures in the ancestral homeland! My mother, who had an endless supply of proverbs and standard expressions, always said better late than never. So:. After more than 13 years in this neighborhood. After five years in this apartment. After nearly two and a half years with Bob. Bob and I are taking the ultimate plunge. We’re combining book collections. And now, I’m overdue for a much-needed nap! On November 25t...

Awesomeness for the Day - Blurker Gone Bad
http://greeneyes-rpi.livejournal.com/278874.html
Getting badder all the time. May 5th, 2011. Awesomeness for the Day. I am in a meeting with a group of people and we are going through introductions. Each of us was asked to tell something "interesting" about ourselves. The team leader started off by telling us that, as a child, he was the voice of Schroeder in the Peanuts movies and TV specials. I am unusually thrilled by this. :). May 5th, 2011. That is amazingly awesome! May 5th, 2011. May 5th, 2011. I will check it out. May 5th, 2011. May 5th, 2011.

Nobel Dylan - John Crowley Little and Big
http://crowleycrow.livejournal.com/261103.html
John Crowley Little and Big. Oct 13th, 2016 at 10:42 AM. ANd the Nobel gives me leave to reveal my long-ago-earned but so-far-secret knowledge of the import of one of his most teasingly obscure but actually quite obvious songs: All Along the Watchtower. There must be some way out of here said the joker to the thief. Theres too much confusion, I cant get no relief. Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth. None of them along the line know what any of it is worth. 21 comments Leave a comment.

The Wilderness Above the Bronx - The Maundry
http://davidkeck.livejournal.com/71366.html
The Wilderness Above the Bronx. Jul 15th, 2010 at 11:12 PM. Writing on the large flat stone above the Bronx was reasonably successful this afternoon. (I had at least one idea that seemed very good at the time - and I've written it down). I was, however, gradually surrounded by a cadre of Bronx mountain squirrels. They were sly. I could, at first, see the little creatures in the middle distance doing apparently-natural squirrel things. (Frisking. Hopping. Tail fluffing). 1 comment Leave a comment.

Giant Hamsters from the Moon, Clearly - The Maundry
http://davidkeck.livejournal.com/71551.html
Giant Hamsters from the Moon, Clearly. Jul 25th, 2010 at 2:03 PM. Our ancestors were hamsters. Clearly. And possibly aliens. I ran into an intriguing article (probably only to me) about Ye Older cranes while figuring out how to move a gaggle of characters from here to there (in the days before the elevator): The sky is the limit. And, of course, this ingenuity doesn't quit with the henges and outsized geometric solids of ancient times. It just about turns my head inside out. 2 comments Leave a comment.
