Leading our 3-6 assembly. Today it was our turn to lead our 3-6 school assembly! After quite a few practises and dry runs, the assembly ran very smoothly. We were very, VERY proud of Jess, who performed our 'Acknowledgement of Country' for the very first time to a large audience, with a beautifully written and personal acknowledgement written with mum. Well done, Jess! Then it was time for our most awesome school rap, lead by Chloe! We created our own bodhi trees using various monochromatic colour scheme...

This term, 5/6K have been exploring the religion of Buddhism, in preparation to read our Accelerated Literacy text 'Tyger, Tyger' by Elizabeth Stanley. The bodhi tree is a species of banyan fig native to Nepal and India, southwest China and Indochina east to Vietnam. Although the original Mahabodhi tree, or 'sacred fig' died many years ago, many bodhi trees found today originate from the original tree itself. Hey guys it's us again, the art works are AMAZING. It features an astounding range of native plants, most of them can be used for food or medicinal purposes. Charlotte's Web Alternate Covers. At the end of Term 2, we designed some new covers for E.B White's classic 'Charlotte's Web, which we have studied throughout the term. We been SO busy with school and reports that Mrs G hasn't posted in a while. Busy, busy, busy! Mrs G bravely flew to EduTECH in Brisbane, Queensland to learn all about S uper Awesome Sylvia. New technologies and ways of making our school even more awesome. She even got to meet Mojo the Dojo with Ms Stulz! We are currently talking about creating a Maker Space at Wyong PS - so keep posted! It has been super cold at Wyong recently and we have been busy bunking down and working hard! How do we like to learn?

Last week, Aboriginal Artist Brett Parker from Billyara Aboriginal Art. Came to visit Wyong Public School. He met the whole school in our assembly hall and showed us some of his amazing artworks that he has created for exhibitions and for commercial use. He also has a Facebook.
