So, as I begin this project, I am armed with a parallel Bible — one that has four different translations lined up side by side. I chose one that includes the New International Version (NIV), the New Living Translation (NLT), the New King James Version (NKJV) and, my favorite, The Message (MSG). However, when I found this verse, I was struck by the wisdom of it.

Everybody’s a critic…. January 23, 2015. It’s amusing how every announcement is followed by commentary. Gone are the days in which people are receptive to news. Instead there’s an automatic assumption that news should elicit an opinion on the matter. This is something especially true of any major life events from career options, partners, moving home etc. Everyone suddenly becomes an expert in the field of discussion and manage to turn the conversation onto them and their view of what you should do.
