A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust. Patience in the Water. And I desperately need some patience. Because as I am trying to form relationships with other people, my anxieties, insecurities, frustrations with myself when I fail, and deeply-rooted feelings of worthless and being unwanted are already showing their ugly faces with meltdowns and lashing out – making be the burden on other people that I always feel as though I already am. A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust: now is the time

http://www.wonderingwanderingwriting.blogspot.com/2014/08/now-is-time.html

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust. Now is the time. Yup It's happening. At last, I have gained the courage to step out into the big, scary world all alone. I am equal parts excited and utterly terrified for this new battle. New Years Resolution. So, at some point between Dec 30 and Jan 1, I am going get on an Amtrak train that will take me to Austin, Texas and never bring me back. And I am going to start a new life there. So far, I have been hit with two questions. I will address the answer to both.

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust: The Bee Room

http://www.wonderingwanderingwriting.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-bee-room.html

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust. Because not everyone's minds work the same, I can only speak for myself in this post – but I know that there are people out there who will be able to relate. Lately, I have felt under attack. Am I under attack? 8221; You finally receive an answer, but it isn't one you were hoping for. “Stop shouting! 8221; someone yells. “There probably is nothing even in there! Some people even have to deal with worse! You should be grateful it's only one bee! 8221; But that one bee, som...

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust. Home Is No Place Like There. 8221; Because then I doubt that they do, even though I've been to them. And I really hate that there are people who make me feel worthless on a daily basis that will reply to this telling me how “great” I am then go back to treating me like dirt. And that there are people who will respond with, “Well if you don't like how I treat you then leave.”. Sometimes I'm A Nature Photographer. It's Too Soon To Think About Leaving. A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust: September 2014

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust. You Have The Right. You have the RIGHT to SAFETY. Physically. Verbally. Emotionally. Sexually. You have the right to be safe. No matter what. Never listen to anyone who tells you or makes you feel otherwise – even if the person making you feel otherwise is yourself. Never be guilted to enter into or to stay in a situation where you are unsafe. While my birth certificate (which they must have never looked at) says the 9. The first time she wanted me to 'read something' onl...

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust: My Closest Friends Are Geese

http://www.wonderingwanderingwriting.blogspot.com/2014/07/my-closest-friends-are-geese.html

A Wayfaring Writer's Wanderlust. My Closest Friends Are Geese. If geese can lose hope, this one was a fighter. It made it all the way across the rest of the road and kept going. I could write an entire blog post on an inspiring goose that was clearly dying but decided to keep going until the very end. But that wasn't what struck me. It definitely wasn't what led me to the internet to research the habits of Canadian geese, nor was it what led me to write a blog post on them. When the goose was mostly dead?

Follow a family of four on our continued adventures as crofters on the Scottish Isle of Rum where we are building a new life from a bare field up. Off-grid, low-impact, self sufficient, permaculture inspired living in a wild and beautiful island with a small community with big ideas. The wandering may have stopped but we'll never lose the sense of wonder. Wondering how to join in. Wondering who we are. Autumn’s hand on my shoulder…. The Wondering Wandering Penguin

The Wondering Wandering Penguin. A former blog about my life . . . now a blog focused on my musings, contemplations, thoughts, ponderings, considerations, etc. related to the Word of Almighty God Jehovah! Friday, March 8, 2013. How hard is this? It can depend. If life is going smoothly, this can be easier. If life is getting a little rough, this can be so much harder. But, these are not conditional commands! Instead we are to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving, because God forgave us. We must reme...

Thursday, September 26, 2013. Or Not so Great? After reading this classic novel recently, as an introspective, thoughtful adult, followed by the new movie adaptation, I've spent some time pondering this "Great Gatsby." Does he deserve the title? Was he a great man? Now, I think my thoughts hold a little weight. Here are some of them:. Gatsby had some shortcomings and flaws. Who doesn't? Perhaps not so much. Mostly white lies. What about his bootlegging profession? Why was this necessary? We are fed this ...

I wonder as I wander

I wonder as I wander. Sunday, May 13, 2012. Anger to the left of me, rage to the right of me . With the current political climate of the United States, I find myself struggling with rage on an almost daily basis. The economy is horrible - jobs simply aren't there. Unemployment has let thousands barely keep their head above water, and yet the standard conservative line is that these people are just lazy and need to go get jobs. Healthcare costs skyrocketing. Teachers are the favorite scapegoats . And this...

A wondering wayfarer wandering wistfully through the winding ways of the world in want of Wisdom…. January 2, 2012. Humbleness of Shaykh I’zāz ‘Alī rahimahumullāh. Muftī Muḥammad Shafī‘ rahimahumullāh relates an incident of Shaykh I‘zāz ‘Alī rahimahumullāh:. Because we were the students and he the teacher, we said, ‘There is no need to select an amīr, a ready-made amīr is already present.’. The Shaykh asked. ‘Who? We replied by saying. ‘You are the teacher and we the students.’. Let us lift it! The Shayk...

Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars. These images represent the “new” me, or the me I’ve been working on since my departure from school. I’m trying to embrace who I am, leaving behind the self-criticism that became so toxic. When Nell told me to expand my valentine project, I decided again to make valentine’s to myself, but this time with a more optimistic and real feel. Taking the valentines a step further. Plenty more to come! Working on these ...
