Knitting and spinning and fun! Hi there, I’m Aubrey. I’m in my mid-30s and live in western Massachusetts. I spend a lot of my time making things, whether it be with sticks and string, with fiber and a spinning wheel, or pen on paper. I can’t remember a time where I wasn’t doing. I write mostly about my knitting and spinning adventures, with a little bit of awesomeness added for extra measure. Random things about me. I’m left handed and knit from right to left. I didn’t travel outside of New England...

Knitting and spinning and fun! Posted on May 31st, 2016 · 18 Comments. Do people still read blogs, or more precisely, do people still read blogs like mine? Honestly, I need to get over myself. I still write mainly for me and I consider this blog a way for me to document what I make. I like that I have 15 years of archives to look back upon with fondness and nostalgia. (Related: 15 YEARS? How in the world did. Posted on February 25th, 2016 · 3 Comments. Tagged: house and home. I hope to write more as I se...

Knitting and spinning and fun! Sock it to summer! Posted on June 8th, 2016 · 7 Comments. Tagged: knit all the socks. Sock it to summer. Happy (almost) summer, friends! I kind of like to think that summer started on June 1, but really, it doesn’t start until the summer solstice on the 2oth. It’s been warm and sunny, though, so to me, summer’s well on its way. With summer comes a fun knit-a-long – Amanda of Knot a Podcast. And Lamby Toes Yarn. Oh, you want to know what socks I’m knitting so far? The patter...

Knitting and spinning and fun! Blogging from Word: take two. Posted on May 23rd, 2006. So, Scott and I went ahead and downloaded copies of Office 2007 Beta 2, and of course, I wanted to try out Word’s new blogging feature. To see how it works. I doubt I’ll use it as my main blog editor, but hey, it’s nifty just the same! So far, the new version of Word looks pretty cool; I’m digging the blue interface. Well, time to see how clean this code really is. Laquo; The one where I go to the gym. May 24, 2006.

Gardening for the People. You Grow Girl Turns 15! I can’t put enough exclamation marks behind that title. My baby Internet website is 15 years old this month. These first images represent the first 3 site designs: Feb 2000 (Top of page), Spring 2000 and Fall 2000. The site in 2002. Photos of me posted to my journal back in 2000 and 2001. Graphic...

So, why is this blog called process, recorded? Looking on the bright side. I have been having trouble looking on the bright side lately. And for me a person who has often been labeled an eternal optimist that’s saying something. I can’t say I find it shocking that I’m not feeling. Still, there definitely are parts of my job I look forward to and those parts can’t be discounted. I already shared the awesome “Oops, I tooted! 8221; incident in a recent post. Knitting and spinning and fun! Our Big Move – Day 7. Posted on August 14th, 2014. Finally, I’m getting to the last part of our drive across the country! It’s short, only because I didn’t take a lot of pictures. I was too excited to finally be done with the driving! Day 7 – Idaho to Portland. After less than an hour of driving, we saw a very welcome sight. This, my friends, is what eastern Oregon looks like. Not a forest in sight. We definitely didn’t expect rolling hills!
