Tuesday, January 21, 2014. To the depths of the sea . . . Lexi went scuba diving with some school friends on Saturday! She was really excited about it and had fun, although (it turns out) there's not much to see at the bottom of a 13-ft swimming pool! Maybe next time we can find her some coral to look at! Saturday, January 18, 2014. New Year's Eve Rave. New Years Eve was spent with great friends this year! Shanna came up during the day to hang out, open Christmas gifts, and eat Chinese take-out!

Thursday, July 24, 2014. Here are some highlights from our road trip to CO! Aquarium with Frank's cousin and her family, three parks with Maddie and Jack, free slurpies on 7/11. After two days in Denver, we drove to the mountains! Sleeping in a cabin, whitewater rafting, hot springs, s'mores . . . It was amazing! Now, if you ask the kids what their favorite parts of the trip were:. 1 Chalmers, Ace, and Cisco (Bill and Curtis's dogs who came to the cabin). The drive home from the cabin was a long one!

Sunday, September 7, 2014. This was the last time I'll ever take a first day of school picture at Redeemer Lutheran Preschool. For six years, I've been dropping off kids to the loving care of Mrs. Killingsworth and her crew of fantastic teachers. Henry was a bit shy (shocker! The first day but Mrs. Killingsworth helped bring him out of his shell by setting out his favorite toy during free play. We're so glad we chose for him to wait one more year before starting Kindergarten. Here's to Pre-K!

A family walk in a field, the possibility of chasing butterflies, making memories off the beaten path . . . 20 minutes later, Henry looked like this:. Yes, folks, those are ticks. Don't bother counting. The answer is just under 300. In the morning, we understood why Henry had had a difficult night sleeping:. Apparently each tick left behind a red itchy bump! Sunday, August 10, 2014. Our good friend, Eric, ran a free summer soccer clinic for 5 and 6 year old boys to help get his son interested in the game.
