I’m not tired, I’m…. – one life: livin' the dream
https://wonlife.wordpress.com/2015/07/07/im-not-tired-im
One life: livin' the dream. Who Am Us, Anyway? I’m not tired, I’m…. July 7, 2015. July 7, 2015. Not tired, I’m…what? But to say I am tired doesn’t even really mean anything. There needs to be a word for it. “Fatigue” is good, people might know what that is and being fatigued is more that just sleepy. I can say to my Wife that I’m all out of spoons, and she knows what I’m talking about. But Spoon Theory. Is not well known among muggles (my term for the non-disabled). Weary? Ollie Knocker: A Cautionary Tale.
MS on YouTube – one life: livin' the dream
https://wonlife.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/ms-on-youtube
One life: livin' the dream. Who Am Us, Anyway? July 2, 2015. July 2, 2015. Ilona Bidzan described the film as a story about extraordinary people and their equally outstanding paths of life. Three intimate conversations about passion, rebellion and suffering. A journey into the depths of human mind in search for an answer to a question: how important are will power and fortitude in our life? This edited text is taken from a recent newsletter from MS Weekly News. Take a look, and see what you think. Notify...

One life: livin' the dream. Who Am Us, Anyway? I’m not the MS guy. June 27, 2016. So although I’ll never be able to forget that I have MS (the MonSter), I try to find ways to move it at least to a side burner on the stove, if not a back burner. And perhaps for a little while each day, to not be The MS Guy. Does diversity include disability? June 13, 2016. June 13, 2016. Out of 100 insiders, there is not one with disability. Could it be that there are no Hollywood insiders with disability? I’d put m...

One life: livin' the dream. Who Am Us, Anyway? Ollie Knocker: A Cautionary Tale. July 10, 2015. July 10, 2015. I’m sure everyone who’s anyone has seen the picture of a concert goer crowd surfing in a wheelchair. My reaction, and maybe yours too – was that it looked great, and that I’d love the chance to do something like that. But reading Ollie Knocker’s story. Reminded me that there are certain protocols and etiquette around wheelchairs. Yeah, people bungee jump. In wheelchairs, and sky dive. And her un...
What to call You People #2 – one life: livin' the dream
https://wonlife.wordpress.com/2015/04/27/what-to-call-you-people-2
One life: livin' the dream. Who Am Us, Anyway? What to call You People #2. April 27, 2015. April 27, 2015. In recent weeks, I’ve encountered a similar thing when encountering other wheelers. No element of counter-culture I suppose, but an acknowledgement that we are members of, if not an elite class (as I like to think) or a secret society (hard to be secret in a wheelchair), at least a minority. We share a field of knowledge that other, those “muggles,” can never understand. What to call You People.

June 7, 2013 · 10:17 pm. Were You the One? Let us always meet each other with smile,. For the smile is the beginning of love. Were you the one who stared at me today? I was pulling an oxygen tank behind me. Or maybe I was in a wheelchair. Perhaps I had a birth defect and only had one full hand. It could be that I was the victim of a terrible fire in which my face was badly burned. It doesn’t really matter which one I was, does it? The question still stands: were you the one who stared at me? I remember t...
