All we need from you to get started on your project is the dormer type, your roof pitch, and the width, height and length you require. If we do not have one in stock we draw up a full, detailed set of autocad drawings for you and your contractor to approve. The building process starts using dry, stamped 2x4 stickframe construction. The Wooden Window and Door Company crafts sash and doors using the same construction methods employed for the past few centuries. The end result is sash and doors made from high quality, dry, straight-grained woods with very few or no knots; 'through' mortise and tenon joinery that is further strengthened by pegs and epoxy; glazed with restoration glass (wavy and bubbled); and finally sealed, primed and painted with oil-based waterproof treatments.
