It was Teagan's birthday and the day her uncle came home from serving an LDS mission in Guatemala. Teagan was a very gracious birthday sharer and postponed all party plans until the weekend so we could celebrate Elder Durfee's homecoming. It was a mini little family reunion. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Morgan is now officially the youngest kid I've known who has needed to get braces. Up close and personal. She has springs on the wires where her teeth are missing to make room for her teeth coming in. Checking herself out in the mirror. On the way home she was so funny. She said to me, "Mom! I'm so excited to get braces. I've always wanted braces! Dave and I just keep telling her how beautiful she looks. She now has a daily hygiene regime that rivals mine. Keeping up with us!

Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Here is the reason I have not been blogging for a while. Not the actual graduation itself, but the classes and homework that has led up to it. I'm still adjusting to the "free time". Even now, weeks later, it still hasn't really sunk in completely. He's a special friend that reports back to Santa if we've been naughty or nice. This morning we woke up and found him in the kitchen sitting on a spool of thread with scissors in his hands and little bits of paper everywhere. Look what Zippy made! Saturday, March 7, 2015. Any one who knows me or has heard me give talks on gardening, knows I'm passionate about compost (wrote 2 blogs on the subject in 2011). What has got me on to this post is the mention of the build up of compost in bags on the back deck of homes, because no one can get to their compost bins or piles or the use of snowshoes to get to the compost pile on the NSAGC Facebook. Page This is the first year, I have ever had to resort to snowshoes to dump the compost. Hi, it has been awhile.

Held every two years, this marked the 23rd such conference, and its first time in Western Canada. David Young, another Canadian, wove human history into the story of the prairies with an account of the Selkirk settlers.
