At low water, rebar and old metal structures can be seen protruding from the 60 year old cement structure; at high water these hazards are hidden from view- yet equally as dangerous. All year round, the dam creates a recirculating wave. This type of wave is notorious for holding vicitims in its current which ultimately leads to drowning.
