However, it does capture what I believe Sociologists are all about: How do we create a society that functions optimally for all who belong? Sociology of the Family. Ethnicity and Diversity in the U.S. Sociology courses at MJC. Fulfill general education requirements for an Associates Degree and are equivalent college level courses that fulfill specific IGETC requirements for transfer. None of our Sociology classes have prerequisites. You may take any Sociology course without having taken the introductory course. However, the Introductory Sociology course does provide foundational understandings for the other courses.
