Love Pink: June 2013
http://lovepinklibbypage.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Warning: This blog will make you smile. It will also be quite pink. Friday, 28 June 2013. I'm going on holiday! And I'm very excited. I wasn't planning on going away this year, but when my good friends invited me to Italy with them I looked outside at the rain and booked some last minute flights. I leave tomorrow. Dwora Fried • Biography

To spend time with Dwora Fried's artworks is to gain insight into the process and content of memory. Accessing memory is often a fraught with difficulty (due to the landmines of repression and denial.) But because most of Fried's boxes are miniatures, we seem to have power over their content. Born in Vienna, Austria. Tel Aviv University, Israel. Avni School of Fine Arts, Israel. Residing in Los Angeles since 1978. Gallery 825/LAAA, Los Angeles, California - January 16 - February 19, 2016. I attended a very entertaining lunchtime recital last week, as part of the commendable and very imaginatively constructed Hampstead and Highgate Festival. The organisers have taken dance, and especially Diaghilev. As their inspiration and binding theme, and the event I went to in Burgh House. Itself a treat to visit, café attached) comprised poetry, prose and even some nicely delivered song, on the broad subject of dance. Is publ...

A couple of weeks back, had the opportunity to run some errands before having to fly up north for work. Seeing I’m in the Soho area, thought I pop by Shoryu to check out their tonkotsu ramen.
