Ramblings of a yarn junkie. Saturday, 30 May 2009. June CAL - Surfer Rosa Mitts. 4-ply or fingering weight yarn (takes less than 25g). Chain 6 and join with a slip stitch. 1) Ch2, DC2 tog into ring (counts as 1st petal), ch3, [DC 3 tog into ring, ch3] 5 times, sl st to top of 1st petal. 2) Ch2, DC 3 tog in 1st 3-ch space, ch 5, [DC 4 tog in next 3-ch space, ch5] 5 times, sl st to top of 1st petal. 7) RIGHT GLOVE -. Break yarn and re-attach to other end of last row worked then work as for right glove.

The Pratchgan was handed to Terry in the foyer tent at the Edinburgh International Book Festival today at 1:00pm. He was rather pleased, as you can see here -. After he'd stopped laughing he had a good look at all the squares -. I had a wee bit of trouble folding the darn thing back up -. But eventually it was back in the bag and able to be handed over -. In between working overtime and prepping fabric for my skirt, I have been indulging in a little light crocheting, this lime green and lurid pink beauty was knocked up during a few commutes into work and a couple of evenings slobbing in front of the telly. The inspiration for the colours came from browsing the Purplelinda. Love the bag, although the colours are not for me! The doll is great too. 10 August 2008 at 13:21.

Saturday, 2 August 2008. Well now I've dispatched my doll swap (only 6 months late! I can now throw myself into a bit of dressmaking. As the old adage goes, have cash, will shop, so I have! First stop was Betsy Ross. To buy the beautiful charmed dress pattern and the raglan top. I bought the A line skirt pattern about a year ago and made a charming skirt out of a pair of my nans old curtains but, as I tried trimming the hem with a pair of 8" shears, I managed to snip a hole in it! 10 August 2008 at 08:41.

It's fine for lighter shopping but I fear 4 pints of milk may end in carnage!
