Wool Weaver

Sunday, April 13, 2008. What is nicer than sipping a cup of tea while working on your latest project. I found this pattern at the Sean Sheep. Website, while checking out their yarns. They have quite a selection and it is reasonably priced at $2.99 a ball. Actually when I went back to buy some more to make this tea cozy it was on for $2.75 a ball. So a very economical project. I think it turned out quite nicely. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Confessions of a compulsive crafter. View my complete profile.

Wool Weaver: October 2007

http://woolweaver.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 8, 2007. Sock it to me! I've joined the knitted sock craze! Not terribly well done, I'm afraid, but I'm quite happy with them nonetheless. It's not the correct yarn for socks.much too heavy, but it was good to work with for my first attempt as it was easy to work with the thicker yarn. Now I'm learning how to make it neat. It's amazing how many wonderful tips there are on the internet from accomplished sock knitters. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Confessions of a compulsive crafter.

Wool Weaver: July 2007

http://woolweaver.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 14, 2007. I finally got around to working up a lining for the tote bags. A friend had oodles of cotton lining left over from drape making and she gave it to me to use as a lining for my bags. I think that I could quite possibly make several dozen bags with the material. I have now completed four. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Confessions of a compulsive crafter. View my complete profile.

Wool Weaver: January 2008

http://woolweaver.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 4, 2008. Of course, first on the list will be to keep up with this blog. I was very good at taking pictures of my projects last year, but not so good at posting them here. This year I have several major projects lined up, from a crocheted afghan (which I started last year and is approximately half done) to a beautiful knit sweater from the most luxurious silk, rayon, linen blend yarn. Adventures In Crochet: Beanies Galore!

http://barbarajean1987.blogspot.com/2011/11/beanies-galore.html

Thursday, November 17, 2011. I've been making so many beanies and with all the excitement of my two favorite holidays upon us I've not had much time to work on any other crochet projects. Here is a picture of, LJ, a young man in our church and his son, Trey, wearing their Mountaineer beanies. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Thursday, August 23, 2012. My most recent projects have been beanies for my son's college friends. I've not been posting all of those here as they are all pretty much the same except for color. Adventures In Crochet: Crocheted Ruffled Shrug

http://barbarajean1987.blogspot.com/2013/04/crocheted-ruffled-shrug.html

Friday, April 19, 2013. This is the lovely Ruffled Shrug pattern designed by Mary Jane Hall in Crochet That Fits. I used Noro Silk Garden Lite which is a heavier yarn than called for in the pattern but following the measurements for a size large I still ended up with the right size. This is such a well written, easy to follow pattern. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Learn to Crochet - Free Instructions and Patterns. Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover (Free Pattern). Worsted weight cotton or wool yarn. I don't recommend acrylic yarn as it is more flammable. Ch 3, join with slip stitch to first ch, ch 1. Round 1: 5 sc in ring, join with slip stitch to first ch, ch 1 (5 sc). I'd love to see your pict...

Adventures In Crochet: New Etsy Store For Crochet Items

http://barbarajean1987.blogspot.com/2012/10/new-etsy-store-for-crochet-items.html

Wednesday, October 17, 2012. New Etsy Store For Crochet Items. I'm very excited to have started an Etsy shop. Right now I have only 2 items listed. All items I sell will benefit my church building fund. I invite you to take a look. According to the Etsy stats it seems that my items have had only 2 views each so I would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to drive more traffic to my store. Barb's Etsy Store.
