wordcurious: Ceaseless

http://wordcurious.blogspot.com/2012/03/ceaseless.html

Poetry and images celebrating life, living and being alive. Friday, March 16, 2012. I think of her,. Wondering how she always sees. A persons heart through eyes of love. I think of me. Still tangled in tight nets. I hope one day. To be more empty of my ceaseless thoughts;. More full of gentle grace. C) A Mc N. Posted by alistair mcnaught at 6:42 AM. I like this very much. The second stanza and its sense of self awareness engages the reader and serves to anchor the piece in the readers mind.

wordcurious: Tailwind

http://wordcurious.blogspot.com/2014/01/tailwind.html

Poetry and images celebrating life, living and being alive. Wednesday, January 01, 2014. The geese came down together,. Flying over the tree tops to the. I heard the ancient gutturals of their call,. The stridency and potency of language without words. Each syllable ran as a ripple of sound In the grey twilight air,. Tumbling onto trees and. Spilling into the evening tide. They fix their feathers for the final glide. Overhead I hear the hiss of air on wings. Three geese in formation. Links to this post:.

wordcurious: Dancing to a different music

http://wordcurious.blogspot.com/2014/01/dancing-to-different-music.html

Poetry and images celebrating life, living and being alive. Wednesday, January 01, 2014. Dancing to a different music. Let the light in your eyes. Shine with the secret love of life. That you alone have understood. Let there be a song for you. In the silent things of earth and sky;. The eloquence of trees,. The poetry of clouds,. The love-song of the morning light. Forgive the world that fails to see. The things you see. Or hear the music of your soul. That sings such melodies. And smile your secret smile.

wordcurious: Open door

http://wordcurious.blogspot.com/2012/02/open-door.html

Poetry and images celebrating life, living and being alive. Sunday, February 26, 2012. From beginning to end. The door was open. The autumn air slid in,. Cool and fragrant,. Gliding down the aisle,. Exploring every nook and. Cranny of the place. One by one it touched us all,. Stroked every face and. Mingled with the breaths. And this is why you came. Not because you wanted to. But from a deeper calling of the God. Who's heart is always. Open like a door;. Whose grace is always gliding. C) A Mc N.

wordcurious: Sanctuary stillness

http://wordcurious.blogspot.com/2012/03/sanctuary-stillness.html

Poetry and images celebrating life, living and being alive. Sunday, March 25, 2012. Pine trees sift all sounds;. Softly filtering the air. Till only silence dusts the darkness. Hanging in the night. Bright planets and a crescent moon. Slip low behind the curtain of the trees. Up above the constellations dance;. The Great Bear tiptoes silently. Across the silhouette of trees. Dew on the grass, tree breath on the air. Needles of starlight lacing the velvet sky then. Where they sift,. With the silence,.

Gone a bit painterly! | alphabeta

https://alphabeta85.wordpress.com/2010/05/15/gone-a-bit-painterly

I connect the dots my own way…. Gone a bit painterly! Started working on this last night, unfortunately forgot my power brick for the laptop, and it died on me half way through colouring. Managed to find said power brick this afternoon and have finished it all off. Found a great reference photo on DA, cute boy with mohawk…had to be done really. Bizarrely proud of this one…. I connect the dots my own way…. Haven’t updated in quite a while. I’ve been doing lots of drawing and painting, but not finishing an awful lot of stuff so haven’t posted anything up. On recommendation from a good friend I downloaded the demo version of ArtRage and have to say I’ve really enjoyed messing about with it, good little application. Joined a new band – Pop Up Monsters – great bunch of people, really down to earth and lovely to spend time with. Great music too, always helps! Gone a bit painterly!

Now you see me. Musings of a creative writer. Sunday, November 11, 2012. Breaking the silence . A bubble of peace. In the flood;. A secret haven, all mine. A place of learning,. About you, my Lord. Are you merely Lord, here,. Is it only here. That I will love, honour and obey;. Away from the stones and stares. Of this noisy world? I am safe in the silence. When you share it with me -. But it is not mine to keep. When you call me away. Let me be silent. When you alone must speak -. Then speak through me.

Now you see me. Musings of a creative writer. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Just heard from Canon Andrew White, Vicar of Baghdad, about the desperate situation in Iraq now that the US forces have left. I connect the dots my own way…. Bull;April 17, 2010 • Leave a Comment. So I’ve spent more time recently drawing koi fish – here’s a couple of pics of some airbrush work I’ve been doing. I worked on a sketch yesterday lunchtime at work that I wanted to develop in OpenCanvas – took the opportunity of cancelled evening plans to work on it a bit more and develop my airbrush technique. Here’s the colour with the sketch lines still visible –. Nice and bright to celebrate the spring! It was late by the time I g...

Our Lady of Guadalupe | alphabeta

https://alphabeta85.wordpress.com/2010/04/27/our-lady-of-guadalupe

I connect the dots my own way…. Our Lady of Guadalupe. I think it could make a good tattoo, or even a good t-shirt design (to add to the Alphabeta “brand”) but we’ll see when I get round to finishing it. Bizarrely decided to sketch it out in blue, which looks kinda funky, but think I’m going to ink it properly and then colour it. And if I really like the design then I might vector it. 8211; Pintsize is possibly one of the best comic characters ever created, and I REALLY want one. Enter your comment here.

I connect the dots my own way…. Was getting fed up and frustrated with my Our Lady of Guadalupe pic. Progress has been slow. Decided to do something else instead for the evening, and chucked together this sketch of me with friends in younger days. I’m the one on the left chewing my lip ring😀. By alphabeta85 on May 6, 2010. A blog about writing. Thursday, October 13, 2011. Sometimes it takes an obvious observation to make sense of the Inner Critic. And sometimes you have to keep pushing forward no matter what.
