A new temporary beach near The O2 could host corporate events for up to 500 guests during the Olympic Games. The organisers of the Peninsula Festival, which will be held on Greenwich Peninsula from 19 July 13 August, have been granted planning permission to create the four-acre site using tons of sand. It can hold 5,000 visitors and is licensed to remain in its location until 2017.
